Decimation Lab

Terms of Service

Last updated 12 October 2026

You buy Decimation Lab once and it is yours to use, including for commercial work. Anything you make with it belongs to you entirely - we claim no rights over your images or video.

Don't resell or redistribute the software itself. If it isn't what you wanted, ask for your money back within 14 days and you'll get it, no questions asked.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Decimation Lab is made and operated by Neuromind ("we", "us"), based in Idaho, United States. These terms cover your use of the Decimation Lab application at decimationlab.com.

By creating an account or buying a license you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't create an account - and if you already have, tell us and we'll refund and close it.

2. The free trial

Each account gets one 7-day trial. It includes every effect, layer, brush and preset, Image and Video Mode previews, and watermarked image export up to 1920px. Lifetime access unlocks clean full-resolution image export, 2×/4× upscale, WebM export and Create Variations. The trial starts the first time you open the editor, not when you create the account, so days you never used are not spent.

No card is required and none is taken. Nothing is charged when the trial ends: it does not roll into a subscription, because there is no subscription. The editor stops opening, and your account, your settings and anything saved in your browser are left exactly as they were.

One trial per account, once. It cannot be restarted, and buying the product uses it up whether or not days remained. An account that has held a license before - including one that was refunded - is not eligible for a trial.

3. What you're buying

A license to use Decimation Lab. One payment, for one person.

"Lifetime access" means no subscription, no expiry date, no renewal, and no feature withheld for a higher tier. You pay once and the product is yours.

What it cannot mean is that a website exists forever, and we'd rather say so than let you find out later. If we ever discontinue Decimation Lab, we will give you at least 90 days' notice by email before access ends.

4. Where we sell

Decimation Lab is available for purchase in most of the world, but not currently in the European Union or the United Kingdom. That is a tax-registration limitation on our side, not a judgment about you: those are the only places that require a seller outside them to register for VAT before the very first sale, and we are not registered yet.

If checkout tells you it is unavailable where you are, email neuromindart@gmail.com - we would like to know, and it is how we decide where to register next.

5. What you may do

6. What you may not do

Note that this concerns what you do, not what you make. We have no ability to see your work and no interest in policing your taste.

7. Your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 6, or that is used for fraud or payment abuse. If we close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund you in full.

8. Price, payment and tax

The price is shown before you pay, in US dollars. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout before you confirm. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you personally in your own country and are not collected at checkout.

We may change the price of the product at any time. A price change never affects a license already bought - there is nothing to renew, so there is nothing to re-price.

9. Refunds

14 days, no questions asked. The details, including what happens to your access and how partial refunds work, are in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to the software

We add, change and occasionally remove features. Effects may be renamed, reworked, or retired if they cannot be maintained. Saved presets are stored in your own browser and are not guaranteed to survive a change to an effect they depend on - export anything you cannot afford to lose.

11. AI generation

Decimation Lab can send your prompt, and the picture or clip you choose, to an AI provider you pick (Google, OpenAI, Leonardo, Ideogram, fal.ai, MiniMax or Higgsfield) using your own API key. When you do:

Section 15 applies to all of this: we are not liable for money paid to an AI provider or for a generation that is lost, refused or never completes.

12. The Local AI Engine

The Local AI Engine is a free companion app for Windows that runs AI models on your own computer, or another computer on your network, instead of on a provider's servers. It is part of Decimation Lab, and these terms apply to it: sections 5 and 6 in particular, so you may not redistribute, resell or decompile it.

Sections 14 and 15 apply to the engine as to the rest of Decimation Lab: it is provided as is, and we are not liable for lost work, or for anything a model makes or fails to make.

13. Availability

We aim to keep Decimation Lab available and working, but we don't promise a particular level of uptime, and we're a small operation rather than a company with a night shift. Hosting, sign-in and payments depend on third parties (Vercel, Google and Stripe) whose outages we cannot control.

Decimation Lab runs in your browser and needs a reasonably current one with WebGL. We can't promise it will work on every device or browser, and performance depends on your hardware.

14. No warranty

Decimation Lab is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Decimation Lab is limited to the amount you actually paid us.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost work, or lost data - including work lost because a browser cleared its storage, a device failed, or an export did not complete - or for charges from an AI provider (see section 11). Keep your own backups of anything that matters.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Your rights as a consumer

If you buy as a consumer, you may have rights under the law where you live that these terms cannot take away. Nothing here affects those rights. Where local consumer law gives you a right to cancel a purchase of digital content, our 14-day no-questions-asked refund is offered in addition to it, not instead of it.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

Continuing to use Decimation Lab after a change means you accept it. If you don't, tell us - and if the change lands within 14 days of your purchase, the refund policy applies as usual.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.

19. Contact

Questions, refunds, complaints and anything else: neuromindart@gmail.com. A real person reads it.
